What happens at your limit
You get a heads-up at 80%. At 100%, checks stop until you move up or the next month starts.
Updated Sep 23, 2026
Every plan has a hard cap on how many checks your office can run every month. The cap counts the same checks we bill: found checks, and not-found checks where a required box was left blank. Free not-found checks (where every required box was filled in) never count against your cap.
At 80%
You get a heads-up at 80% of your plan's checks, on the Verification page and on Settings › Plan & billing, plus one email. Nothing stops working yet. The banner's button, Upgrade plan, takes you straight to a bigger plan if you want more room before the month ends.
At 100%
At your limit, checks stop for the rest of the month. Running a check shows a one-click upgrade instead of a result. Move up a plan and your new limit takes effect right away. See Moving up a plan.
If you don't upgrade, checks pick back up automatically when your next month starts. Your count resets every month, on the same date each month.
Bulk uploads at the limit
A bulk list runs top to bottom until your plan's checks run out, with no warning first. Once it hits the cap, a pop-up tells you how many ran and how many are waiting, and the waiting rows are marked Waiting, upgrade to run. Upgrading runs only the rows that were waiting; nothing you already ran is repeated.
Tip
Nothing about your limit changes what a found check costs. See What a check costs: the price ladder.
