Your plan is your monthly software fee. It sets how many checks your office can run every month, per location. Each check is billed separately, on top of the plan.

Your plan is your monthly software fee. It sets how many checks your office can run every month. Each check is billed separately, once a month: $2.50 when we find the patient's insurance, $0 when we can't find it. The more you run in a month, the less each one costs.
The five plans

Every plan carries the same fee for a found check: + $2.50 or less per check we find. Checks are billed on a ladder that steps down as you run more in a month, so a busy office pays less per check, not more. See What a check costs: the price ladder for the full breakdown.
What is included, and what is not
- The plan price is the software fee. It never changes based on how many checks you actually run, only on which plan you pick.
- Checks are billed separately, once a month, at the same time as the plan charge.
- A check that comes back not found is free, as long as every required box on the patient's card was filled in.
- No processing fees. Sales tax is added where a state requires it.
Picking a plan
Pick the plan that covers your office's typical month. If you run more checks than your plan covers in a given month, checks stop until you move up a plan or the next month starts — see What happens at your limit. You can change plans at any time from Settings › Plan & billing; see Moving up a plan and Moving down a plan.
Monthly or yearly
Every plan can be paid monthly or yearly. Paying yearly is one payment for 12 months and saves 20% against paying monthly all year. See Yearly billing.
