How Valian works alongside AbelDent
AbelDent is built by ABELSoft and runs as server or cloud. Practices that run it are usually in general dentistry. Common in Canadian practices, with a US installed base. Valian sits on top of it: nothing is replaced, nothing is migrated, and your team keeps charting and billing in AbelDent exactly as it does today.
How the direct AbelDent connection will work
Practices running the cloud version of AbelDent connect with the credentials they already sign in with. Practices running AbelDent on a machine in the office use a small secure connector, installed on that machine in one short scheduled session. Your office manager confirms which version you are on during onboarding, and working that out is our job rather than theirs.
Going live with AbelDent
You do not have to wait for the connection to be finished before Amy starts working. Once your existing phone number forwards to her, she answers every call and text and captures what each patient needs. What she cannot do until this connection ships is write the appointment into AbelDent herself, so your team enters those bookings from the details she captures. Your number stays yours, and patients keep calling the number they have always called.
