What happens after the shoulder film
A shoulder sore enough to image rarely takes one visit. Manual therapy, 97140, and exercise, 97110, are both timed and both count against whatever therapy limit the plan carries. When 97140 goes out the same day as the adjustment, most payers want modifier 59 and a different region documented or they bundle it. If the film is clean and the pain stays, a shoulder MRI, 73221, gets reviewed first and bills from the imaging center. A check up front keeps all of it visible.
