Uploading a bulk verification list
Check a whole list of patients at once: drop in our template or an export from your practice software, fill in the red boxes, and click Verify.

A bulk list checks many patients in one pass, for example tomorrow's schedule. You can check up to 250 patients a run.
Upload the list
- On the Verification page, click Bulk list. The Verify a bulk patient list window opens.
- Pick your file:
- Our template. Click Download the template, fill in one patient per row, and save it.
- Your own export. A patient list from your practice software works as it is. We read your column names.
- Drag the file onto Drop your patient list, or click to choose it. CSV, XLSX and TXT files work.
Check the sheet before it runs
The whole file shows as a sheet, so you can see every cell before anything is sent. You can click any cell and type into it.
- Red boxes are required details that are blank. Fill them in for the best chance of finding each plan. See Red boxes in a bulk list.
- A blank first name, last name, date of birth or carrier holds the whole list. The button reads "N to fill in first" until you fill them in, or remove that row with the × next to its line number.
- A row with no insurance on it is set aside and not checked.
Run it
Click Verify N patients. The window shows each patient as their carrier is checked, then Finished. Every result lands on your patient list with the same status words as a single check. Any patient whose check came back wrong shows under Verifications with a problem.
Note
Each patient is one check. If your plan runs out of checks partway through, the rest of the list waits instead of running. See What happens at your limit.
Frequently asked questions
What should the file have in it? For each patient: first and last name, date of birth, carrier and member ID. For the best chance of a match, also the policy holder's Social Security number and home address. For a patient on someone else's plan, add the relationship and the policy holder's name and date of birth.
Is there a limit? Up to 250 patients in one run. If your file has more, only the first 250 run in that pass, so upload the rest as a second list.
My file is an old .xls file and it won't open. Open it and save it as .xlsx or .csv, then upload it again.
